Think back to when you were in grade school and you had the coolest teacher ever! Think of how fun they made the class. And if you’re thinking of a teacher right now who let you sleep for the full 90 minutes, then dig a little deeper, and think of another teacher who actually taught you things…Got it yet? Okay good. Now what kinds of things did the teacher do? In what ways was the class fun? And more importantly, in what ways was the teacher fun? How did this teacher make a subject in which you probably (if you’re like most people, myself included) hated so entertaining? The answer is they communicated with passion.
Nobody likes an emotionless, stoic person who communicates monotonously all the time. These were the types of teachers who bored us to death. We are drawn to people who animate our lives and feed us energy. The teachers who speak with conviction and engage us into whatever subject they talk about. Do not be one of those people who tries to be apathetic thinking it is cool. These are the worst types of individuals. Especially when you are meeting a woman. If you act like you don’t care, neither will she. Instead have a lot of emotion and energy when you communicate to her. Have passion in your voice and ardor in your eyes!
Do you ever catch yourself flipping by stations on T.V. and you end up watching something for a few minutes? And this few minutes turns into like half an hour or so, and then your friend walks into the room and asks you “what in the world are you watching?” Well, this happens to me very often. And I know exactly why. It is because I will stop and watch something for a second that normally I could absolutely care less about, but just by the way the narrator or the person featured on the show is talking, I get completely entrenched into what they are saying and talking about.
Like the other day when I ended up watching chimpanzees on the discovery channel for almost an hour. Now although primates can be very fascinating to many people, I have never had any particular fondness for the mammal. However this certain day, the person telling the story was just so entertaining and exciting, he made the dullest of subjects actually interesting for me.
So after being scolded for watching the show, I realized what had happened. I wasn’t really watching the chimpanzees, but actually listening to the captivating reporter talking about the chimps. He was the real entertainment and the source of my intrigue. I realized how easily this applies when talking to women. If you are not speaking with enthusiasm and excitement, then she is just going to do what most people and what I normally do. She is just going to keep clicking by, to the next channel, until she finds something she is either genuinely interested in, or something that she becomes interested in. And when you meet a woman for the first time, you will be the latter. You will have to make her become interested in you. So grab some energy and get excited…she is in for a great show!
