Cyndi Lauper made girls everywhere jump out of their seats in 1983 when she came out with the worldwide hit “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” It was an instant pop-culture hit, and a remarkably clever and catchy tune by Lauper. So many girls, and women too for that matter, related to its words, and became enticed by its fetching beat. (By the way, if for some reason you have not heard this song before, do your ears a favor and check it out as soon as possible. I am not too manly to say, that this is definitely a great tune, and one of my favorite 80s songs.)
There was nothing too complicated or intricate behind the song’s lyrics. In fact they were very simple. The moral of the song and chorus of repeating librettos is stated within the title: All girls want in life, is to have fun. That’s it. The secret to making girl’s happy…just have fun!
So many guys think that they have to do all sorts of crazy things to please women. They make things way more complicated than they should be. You don’t need to try to entertain women or spend all sorts of money on them and take them to fancy places to make them happy. They don’t want any of these things. All you have to do is be fun. Be fun, and they will have fun with you.
Being fun is all it takes to make women happy in life. Whether you are rich or poor; no matter what you look like, or what your status is in society, if you can be fun to women, they will love you.
But how can you be more fun with women? Simple; you can laugh, tell jokes, tease her, play silly games, make up outrageous claims, and talk about things around you in a funny way. Laughing is easy to get down; just open up your mouth and say the words “ha-ha.” Telling jokes can be perfected over time. Just start by watching more stand up comedies, and ”Googleing” a couple of “go-to” lines that you can store in the back of your head. Teasing her is great. Teasing women about little things is awesome for making situations more fun. Just make sure she clearly knows you are not serious, as you can often offend her if your tone is not obvious. (Just think of a sarcastic tone of voice that you use, and stick with that.) Playing silly games like “thumb war”, making funny bets about something, or even playfully wrestling her are perfect for getting her to have fun with you. (Remember even older, mature women, are still girls at heart, and even if they don’t often do these things anymore, it doesn’t mean they don’t still love doing them. So don’t be shy about bringing them up.) Making up outrageous and obvious lies about something or even yourself is a great way to make light of something. You can usually get a laugh or at the very least a smile out of a woman if you say something completely absurd and blatantly far-fetched. Talking about weird, crazy, or interesting people or things around you is a great way to be in the moment and have fun with her. Women love doing this, so join her, and do the same.
The next time you think about what to do when you’re out with a woman, remember that classic pop hit by Cyndi from the 80s. Don’t try to be a cool, nonchalant, suave guy, instead just try to be fun. In fact, being a goofball is so much more attractive than being a smooth seducer. Remember, women don’t want Mr. Cool…they just want to have fun!
