Ever been in a relationship and wondered whether the person you’re with is right for you?
Let’s be honest, it’s probably happened quite a few times. Unhappy couples question whether their relationship is “right” all the time, but are usually too afraid to call it quits because things are “comfortable” or “easy” with their partner.
In my opinion, this is absolutely no way to live your life! Settling is hands down one of the worse mistakes you can make, especially concerning your love life.
When you’re in love with someone, there are no doubts in your mind that this person is right for you and that you’re clearly meant to be together. This feeling is out of this world and when you’re with the right person, you just know it.
For all you unhappy couples contemplating your relationships, here are 4 definite signs you’re in a bad relationship and need to move on to bigger and better things.
1. You Avoid Having Sex At All Costs
This is the biggest red flag that you’re in the wrong relationship. When you’re in love with someone you want to be intimate and have sex with them constantly. The passion and sexual chemistry you have for one another doesn’t diminish much at all.
That being said, when you hate even the thought of having sex with your partner, would rather do just about anything than be intimate with them, and come up with just about any excuse under the sun not to have sex (I’m tired, I don’t feel good, I had a bad day, my shows on, etc…) you known there’s a serious problem.
2. The Sex You Do Have Is Forced
Foreplay and intimacy no longer occur in the relationship. Your sex life becomes quickies with absolutely no emotion or connection involved. Quite frankly, you can’t even recall the last time you actually came or had a orgasm for that matter.
If the relationship has gone really south, you might not even intimately kiss each other anymore; just simple pecks with are lame and juvenile.
3. Spend Less Time Together
When you’re no longer happy in your relationship, you begin looking elsewhere for this happiness. Whether that’s spending time with your family, friends, picking up a new hobby or activity, and possibly even spending time with another person you’re interested in.
At the end of the day, you’re happier not with them than when you are.
4. Find Someone Else To Make You Happy
As the saying goes, “If you can’t keep your partner happy, someone else will.” This statement couldn’t more be accurate. If your partner isn’t making you happy and your not satisfied in the relationship, when someone new comes along and starts treating you nice, making you laugh, and showing off all their great qualities, you’re going to start feeling a certain way towards them, and another negative way towards your partner.
If any of these signs are present in your relationship, it’s time to muster up some courage and move on. There are plenty of fish in the sea, and plenty of people to meet.
